In 1998 Fleet Helicopters incorporated into its helicopter service an in-house maintenance facility called Montane Air Pty Ltd. With the goal of facilitating overall efficiency, this fully equipped engineering department was established to increase safety standards, and reduce operating costs and aircraft downtime. The success of Montane Air's diligent team of engineers has meant that the service is now able to be offered to other interested helicopter operators. Montane Air Pty Ltd is the holder of a CASA Certificate of Approval and is staffed with fully accredited Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAME).
